Museum and Attraction Passes

Use your Lincolnwood Public Library card to get discounted passes to a variety of museums and attractions throughout Chicago and Illinois, by using Museum Adventure Pass or Explore More Illinois.

Additionally, for Illinois residents,  many Chicago museums also offer free admission on several days throughout the year.

Museum Adventure Passes provide discounted or free admission to museums in Illinois (but do not include museums in Chicago). Passes can be requested in person at the library or online.  Check out the list of attractions and the offers available. 

• Libraries have a limited number of passes for each participating museum, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis whether requested in person or online.
• One Museum Adventure Pass may be checked out per family, per loan period. The loan period is seven days and will expire after the date printed on the pass.
• Offers vary per museum. For some, two or four people may be admitted free per pass, or by carload. If admission is free, another special discount will be offered.

Explore More Illinois provides instant online access to free and discounted tickets to museums, science centers, sporting events, zoos, park districts, theaters, and other fun cultural attractions in Chicago and Illinois. 

View the current list of participating attractions at Explore More Illinois. Not all attractions will be available to all libraries, so log into Explore More Illinois to see the offers available for Lincolnwood Library card holders, and reserve your pass.

Get started at Explore More Illinois. 

• Select Lincolnwood Public Library District from the drop-down menu, then enter your Lincolnwood Library card number and password. 
• Browse for passes and available offers. You can search for passes by attraction name or location.  Passes must be booked for a certain date. Click on ‘show first available pass’ to book the next available pass or reserve a pass for a date in the next three months.
• Each attraction description will tell you how many passes you may request in a calendar month or year and if you need to present a printed or mobile pass.
• You can have three active reservations per library card at one time.
