The Library’s Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller connects to your compatible systems without any cables. It is compatible with Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Windows 10 computers. This controller was designed for Xbox One, but is forward compatible – you can see more about it’s compatibility at Microsoft’s frequently asked questions page on Xbox. It may also be compatible with some mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.

The Library Xbox Wireless Controller has batteries installed. Make sure to charge the controller before you want to play.
Turn on your Xbox console.
Press and hold the Xbox button to turn the controller on. The button will flash. When it stops flashing, the controller is connected. It may do this automatically if you have connected the controller to your Xbox before.
Otherwise, pres the Pair button on your Xbox console which is often near the power button or by the disc tray. Soon after doing that, press and hold the Pair button on the controller which is between the left and right bumpers by the Micro-USB charging port. The Xbox button on the controller will flash to signify it is searching for a console.
When the Xbox button stops flashing, the controller is connected.
