The first official day of spring is just one month away! The library has planted seeds for a bountiful spring crop of technology training opportunities.
Many popular classes, such as Intro to Microsoft Word and Better Internet Searching, will be offered again. If you were waitlisted before, take a moment now to visit our online calendar and secure a spot.
We are also introducing quite a few new classes in the next three months—and the first is less than two weeks away! See the list below for detailed dates and times.
Free eMedia will cover how to get eBooks, magazines, movies, music, and more from our 24/7 digital library services. Next up is a Windows Computer Tune-Up that will help you protect your PC and improve its performance. (Think of this one as “spring cleaning” for your computer.)
Lincolnwood is full of creative residents. If you enjoy needlecraft, scrapbooking, or DIY, join us at Tech Tools for Crafters, where we’ll recommend technology to inspire your projects and streamline your process. If you’re a photographer, The ABCs of Photo Organizing will help you take stock of your images—both print and digital—and find the gems.
During Money Smart Week in April, get great returns on an investment of one hour spent learning to use Morningstar, the one of the library’s resources for investors. We’ll also help you get started with Buying and Selling on Craigslist, the classified ads site that draws more than 60 million users in the U.S. each month. Finally, join us for Intro to PowerPoint to learn the basics of this presentation tool from Microsoft Office.
Don’t forget that you can always schedule an appointment for one-on-one instruction with a librarian, or stop by for our monthly Tech Help Drop-In (March 23, April 30, or May 18). We want to help you take root and blossom with technology!
