In addition to the library app described here earlier this week, there are five other apps that Lincolnwood resident library cardholders can use to access library resources on a mobile device anywhere, anytime. In this series of blog posts, we will take a look at each app in turn—starting with one designed especially for students.
Hey, Lincolnwood students! Did you know that you can get Live Help with your homework through the library’s BrainFuse HelpNow app? Between 3:00 and 11:00 p.m., submit a question and get a one-on-one session with a live tutor via chat. According to the company’s website, “tutors are trained to not simply provide answers but to help students master the homework assignment’s underlying academic concepts.” If it’s before 3:00 or after 11:00, submit your question in the 24/7 Homework Center and get a response the next day.
But that’s not all you can do with the BrainFuse HelpNow app. In the Writing Lab, submit drafts of your papers to receive feedback from tutors. Use Class Notes to organize your notes by subject, add photos, and set reminders to review the notes later. Tasks lets you enter assignments, assign them to a class, sort them by due date or priority, and track your progress. Finally, test your knowledge with Flashcards, using premade flashcard sets in a variety of subjects or creating your own custom set.
