The Holocaust

• The Cybrary of the Holocaust

• Facing History and Ourselves

  A nationwide organization with an office in Chicago that develops lesson plans aimed at showing today's students the relevance of the Holocaust. Publications can be ordered.

  Read or listen to survivors' stories. Historical introduction to the the Holocaust, encyclopedia articles and link to discussion groups.

• Nazi-Era Provenance Internet Portal

  This site's mission is "to provide a searchable registry of objects in U.S. museum collections that changed hands in Continental Europe during the Nazi era (1933-1945)."

• The Nizkor Project

  A collection of Holocaust memorial and anti-revisionist projects on the Internet. Information on the concentration camps, a searchable index of people connected to the Holocaust, and a directory of organizations where further information might be obtained.

• United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

  America's national institution dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and to providing access to information about genocide. An excellent site for a historical summary as well as guidelines for teaching about the Holocaust.

• Wiesenthal Center

  An international center, with headquarters in Los Angeles, committed to advancing human rights and to keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive. News articles, exhibits, frequently asked questions about the Holocaust and much more. The Explore & Learn link has teachers' resources including a detailed glossary of Holocaust terms, a time line, and a subject bibliography of Holocaust bibliographies.
