  • CAMIO — Catalog of Art Museum Images Online  (for use inside the library only)
    Art works from around the world, representing the collections of more than 24 prominent museums.
  • Chicago Consumers’ Checkbook
    Evaluations of local services, such as auto repair shops, plumbers, lawyers, dentists, veterinarians, banks, insurance companies, and more. Consumers’ Checkbook, an independent, nonprofit consumer organization, does not accept support from businesses.
    Access Consumers’ Checkbook outside the library.   Please note access via Checkbook’s mobile app is not available to Lincolnwood  Library patrons.
  • Consumer Reports
    Ratings, reviews, recommendations, and buying advice. Full content not available via mobile devices.
  • Credo Reference
    Search encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations, and subject specific titles as well as images, audio files, and videos.
  • Driver’s License Practice Tests
    In a partnership with Driving-Tests.org the Lincolnwood Library offers free online practice tests for anyone preparing for their Illinois driver’s license test. Included are: 10 car practice tests, 6 motorcycle practice tests, 1 CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) practice test, and 3 online driver’s manuals (car, motorcycle, and CDL).

    Comprehensive, trustworthy information for everyone from elementary students to curious adults.
  • FirstSearch
    Our FirstSearch databases: ArticleFirst, ClasePeriodica, Electronic Collection Online (ECO), ERIC, GPO Monthly, MEDLINE, OAlster, PapersFirst, ProceedingsFirst, WorldCat, and WorldCatDissertations. Once you have entered the FirstSearch site, click Databases and checkmark the database you wish to search. Up to three databases can be searched simultaneously.

    Browse the latest issues of popular magazines in full color on your computer or mobile device.  Titles include: Atlantic, Dwell, Elle, Food & Wine, Forbes, Men’s Health, Real Simple, Shop Smart, Women’s Health, People, and more.     Self-paced instructional videos that teach computer & software skills, business skills, job searching, and more.  Some classes are as short as 20 minutes, while more technical ones can last over 12 hours. Progress at your own speed, classes are segmented. Access the classes of your choice at a dedicated computer in the Adult Computer Lab.
