• CAMIO -- Catalog of Art Museum Images Online (FirstSearch)

  CAMIO contains about 95,000 works of fine and decorative art from leading museums around the world. The content includes high-resolution images of photographs, paintings, sculpture, decorative and utilitarian objects, prints, drawings and watercolors, jewelry and costumes, textiles and architecture — plus audio, video and mixed media. Difficult-to-find contemporary art is one of its strengths. Scope ranges from 3000 BC to the present. Content is rights-cleared for educational use.

• Chicago Consumers' Checkbook IN LIBRARY USE ONLY

  This organization evaluates the quality of local services, such as auto repair shops, plumbers, lawyers, dentists, veterinarians, banks, insurance companies, and more. Consumers' Checkbook is an independent, nonprofit consumer organization founded in 1974 with the help of funding from the U.S. Office of Consumer Affairs. They do not accept support from businesses, and their publications and website carry no advertising.

  Covers the complete encyclopedia, the Britannica Book of the Year, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Compton's Encyclopedia for middle school students and up, Britannica Elementary Encyclopedia for elementary school readers, websites and more.

  Global perspectives on issues of international importance. The focus is on broad issues, such as war, genocide, terrorism, human rights, poverty, famine, globalization, world trade, nuclear proliferation, and global warming, as well as more specific events and topics in the news that are related to these broader issues. Includes videos, downloadable audio files, and interactive statistics.

• GPO Monthly Catalog (FirstSearch)

  Index to U.S. government publications. Covers all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments (Defense, State, Labor, Office of the President, etc.). 1976 - present.

  Information about environmental concerns. GreenFILE indexes scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports. This resource offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the environment. The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles, and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles as well.

• Grzimek's Animal Life Encyclopedia (Gale Virtual Reference Library)

  Comprehensive source on the world's animals.

  MyMediaMall is a digital collection of ebooks, audiobooks, and videos that can be accessed from the comfort of your home 24/7. There are hundreds of titles to choose including fiction, non-fiction, youth and classics. These titles can be downloaded to your PC, PDA, MP3, including Ipod, and even burned to a CD. No need to worry over late fees, the titles are automatically returned when the loan period is over.
