Librarian – Part Time – Adult Services Department
The Adult Services Department of the Lincolnwood Public Library is seeking a friendly, tech-savvy, enthusiastic librarian for 12 hours per week, primarily night and weekend hours. The general duties include working at the adult reference desk to provide reference, readers’ advisory, computer, and other technology assistance to patrons. A complete job description is available upon request. Minimum Qualifications: MLS from an ALA accredited graduate school. Salary starting at $19.62, depending on qualifications and experience. Marketing Associate - Community Relations Department
The Community Relations Department of the Lincolnwood Public Library is seeking a motivated, dynamic, energetic, community focused, full-time marketing associate. Candidate must be self-sufficient, with superior writing and editing skills, knowledge of layout and design as well as thorough knowledge of principles and practices of marketing and public relations.
Primary responsibilities include developing a marketing plan and promoting the library through the production of print materials as well as through the library’s website and social media tools.
The preferred candidate will have at least five years of experience in marketing with the ability to develop a public relations and marketing plan to enhance the image of the library and promote its services. Graphic design experience a plus. Minimum requirements: B.A. degree, marketing experience, excellent computer skills, grammar, spelling, writing, and editing skills and at least five years of experience working with the public as an employee or volunteer.
